Actaeon is a minority and woman-owned heavy civil contractor that builds and maintains stormwater infrastructure, landscapes, hardscapes, and concrete work for government, commercial, and residential clients across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Founded in 2017, the firm is based in Prince George's County, Maryland.
Founder and Principal Donna An, PMP, brought 25 years of environmental management and restoration experience to the firm — including time with the US EPA's Watershed Division and a Master's in Environmental Management from Yale's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She established Actaeon on a simple standard: expert execution of environmental projects.
Because we both build and maintain what we install, we understand how our work performs over its full life — and where it tends to fail. Nearly a decade of projects spans stream restoration, stormwater construction and retrofits, hardscape and concrete installation, and the care of more than one million square feet of green infrastructure — for clients ranging from single properties to municipal, county, state, and federal agencies across the DMV.
Actaeon is certified MBE, DBE, and WBE through MDOT and holds Prince George's County CBMBE certification. The firm carries a Maryland Commercial Pesticide Business License with certified applicators on staff, an on-staff Maryland Licensed Tree Expert, and Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP) certification among key staff. Crews operate to NALP professional standards with full OSHA/MOSH safety compliance, and the firm is bonded, with bonding capacity available upon request. In 2022, Actaeon received recognition from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Metropolitan DC chapter.
